History
This “ Geffy Guide” originated as an idea of Vatche Tchekmedyian (MSC President 2010-2011, DGSOM ’11, current PGY 2 at Massachusetts General in Internal Medicine). The Geffy Guide aims to serve as a “for students, by students” snapshot and “how-to book” of medical school life at UCLA. Perhaps you have seen these from other medical schools. We believe writing a guide like this will provide incoming and current students with the important information not written in the syllabus or orientation materials, but from first hand experiences of our own DGSOM medical students.
